Ways to cure Myopia? , and glasses/contacts.?

Hey all, I recently had to take my boxing 'fitness' health examination. I'm all good except for the vision. I am 13 years old with 20/40 eyesight. Yes, I know this is bad. I've done some research on it, and I have 'Myopia' I'm assuming, from being on the computer too much is my guess. But anyway I would like to know if there are any ways to correct Myopia without the use of contacts/glasses? If so, please feel free to share. Also, at school I tried on a friends glasses, it made my eyesight SO much better, completely improved. But as soon as I took them off, for about 30 seconds I felt like I had 20/300 (hahaha). Anyways, now I have this theory that by getting glasses and wearing them, It will ruin my eyes even more. Is my theory correct? Thanks, Jon.

No, glasses/contacts don't make your eyes worse. You just get used to seeing clearly. The only other option that I'm aware of is laser eye surgery, but that's a really drastic approach that you probably can't even take at 13 because you're still growing..and 20/40 isn't that bad. Just get contacts if you don't like glasses.

Oh, and my vision actually is about 20/300 without contacts haha but I know people who have it much worse.

Only a Dr can help you decide what you need.
In my own personal Experience though, my eyes got better wearing contacts.

I would recommend glasses, you could get laser eye surgery but you must be 25 and older because you have to get it once your eyes stop growing. I recommend glasses instead of contacts, cos in my opinion contacts are pretty lame and can be hard to get in and out. And no glasses/contacts do not make your eyes worse, you just get used to seeing clearly.
Hope it helped.
