I have myopia (0.25) on my left eye and astigmatism (0.75) on my right eye.. should i wear glasses? If that's it and you're satisfied with your current vision, then I'd say that you "w"ouldn't wear them. it would greatly improve your vision I'd recommend it. Everything will be a lot clearer for you. If it was just the Myopia in the eye and no astigmatism, then i would day no as +0.25 os a very mild script. But the astigmatism effects your eyes greatly. I would recommend wearing the glasses if your on a computer or reading. And also if would definitely help driving (esp at night). BY WEARING CONCAVE OR DIVERGING LENS ON THE LEFT EYE U CAN CORRECT UR DEFECT OF MYOPIA. U CAN CORRECT ASTIGMATISM BY WEARING CYLINDRICAL LENS ON THE RIGHT EYE, ALTHOUGH IT WILL LOOK COMICAL BUT U HAVE TO. OR U CAN DO A SURGICAL; OPERATION WHICH WILL COST A LOT. I would say you should. If you didn't have the astigmatism then you could do without it but since you do have it, then I would recommend either glasses or contacts. I wouldn't recommend it unless you strain to see distant objects. It is very small prescription. Since that is such a mild prescription, I wouldn't bother with glasses. If you really feel the need for them, by all means get glasses but personally, I wouldn't get them. wow thats mild. only wear it when you need to. don't make the same mistake i did. when i first got myopia, i wore my glasses all time. i got more and more dependent on glasses and now I'm a -5!!! my friend also got nearsighted the same time as me but her vision is waaaay better than mines. probably because she never wore her glasses I most probably would. My prescription is +0.25 -1.5 90 in my left and just about the same in my right with the exception of the cylinder being -1.25 in the right. Your astigmatism is definately in the area of wanting to be corrected. If you get a prescription, you will notice a difference. I did..I wear glasses all of the time as well, I have progressive lenses...(comes about after 40 with most). If you do get glasses, it will probably take a week to get used to the astigmatism correction-i.e. everything will look tilted for a while. Hope this helps! |
