Muscle pain and weakness? |
Hi please help..I have been going threw this for some time now..I have muscle weakness and i have tremors-"twitching" they happen all the time i dont even have to be doing something.and my muscles get sore fast and stay sore longer then they should.I had an EMG done that showed proximal myopathy. And i had a muscle biopsy done that showed nothing. Please help. The doctors are still runing test i started seeing a new neurologist he wants to do another EMG and another muscle biopsy. Please help whats wrong with me.. It could be ALS, this is one of the ways it starts. You can find out for sure by having nerve studies done. Also muscle weakness and pain can be caused by some medications. Are you taking any thing for high cholesterol? Statins, which are frequently prescribed for controlling cholesterol, have this side effect and it is very serious. how old r u? sounds like u have restless leg syndrome. search it on the web and you will go "oh my goodness, that's me" also, mucle soreness and cramping can be from drinking too much. good luck!!!! Did you share your previous test results with your new doctor? Not sure what doing the same tests again will do for you. My first thought would be if you have started, changed or even increased doseage of any meds. Everyone reacts differently and some even have reactions that "aren't" possible per the doctors. Secondly I would ask for an echo and an MRI. The echo will verify your heart isn't doing something weird and sending confusing signals to your brain (like a-fib). The MRI will show if you have pinched nerves or anything going on with your spine. There are many spinal conditions that via nerves send your brain messages and also can take over your muscle control. |
