Protocols for MI across the US really varies, but I have never seen IV aspirin in use. Above post is entirely correct. IV Aspirin is not used in United States, at least not for MI. it is not used intravenousely in us nor anywhere else for mi but may be used as analgesic or anti inflammatory agent like in arthritis no IV Aspirin is not given for anything anywhere.In acute MI it is given as a chewable tablet . It gets into blood rapidly and patients are advised to take it before they come to emergency room, or ICCU. |
