New treatment for myocardial infarction?

New treatment for myocardial infarction?

I have HEARD that SOME places are starting to use some sort of HYPOTHERMIA method to decease the amount of damage, while a heart attach is happening.
Other than that, they still use open heart surg, heart catherizations, angioplasties, stenting....

To make sure you dont have one, dont smoke, or eat fatty foods, dont each chicken fat, exercise daily and have plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.

The only "treatment" I know of is nitrolinguil to relieve the symptoms.

Once you've had a myocardial infarction there is little that can be done other than to expand/replace the veins to allow blood flow

I'm not sure any new treatments - the main ones include medication, balloon angioplasty (were they actually use a little balloon to expand the blood vessel), stenting (where they would put in a little device to hold the vessel open) and coronary artery bypass surgery.

here is the complete info about the latest treatment methods for myocardial infarction...
