Why does short acting calsium channel blocker can cause myocardial infarction? |
please help me with my pharmacological problem....i have exam soon.. I'm pretty sure a calcium channel blocker is a med that slows the heart rate. So, lets say you give it to a person who doesn't need it.....it would slow the heart rate, and the coronaries would not get the oxygen they need to keep the heart muscle alive. That's the only thing I can think of that may cause a heart attack. Don't you have a pharmacology book that would state this in more direct and specific terms though? |
