What are the pros and cons of various medication regimens in treatment of a pt with a myocardial infarction?

Well primary angioplasty is the way forward, I am a bit out of date with thrombolysis nowadays, I have used Streptokinase, rTPA (recombinant tissue plasminogen Activator)alteplase, tenectaplase, retaplase,

They all have hemorrhage associated risks, ie CVA, and hopefully these are reducing as time and knowledge advances

Not really sure from your question what information you are looking for, for what purpose, academic? family health concerns?

The biggest real difference is the mode of delivery, with alteplase being a more complicated dose regimen, whilst tenectaplase is given as a rather simpler bolus dose.

There are contraindications to their use including recent surgery etc. because of risk of catastrophic bleeding.
