Does anyone know what the difference is in a Heart Attach and Acute Myocardial Infarction ?

They are the same thing. The Myocardial Infarction is the technical term.

They are the same. Only the phrase is different ,heart attack,used for general public,acute MI is the proper medical terminology. SW FNP

Heart attack- an episode or the onset of illness of the heart.
Acute- short and severe; not long drawn out or chronic.
Myocardial- pertaining to myocardium, the middle layer of the heart wall.
Infarction- Death of a section of tissue because the blood supply has been cut off.
Both terms are one and the same.
