Heart Disease Question?

My grandfather died last week at the age of 91 from an apparent heart attack. No symptoms or anything, he just fell over dead while eating breakfest. The fire department tried to pump his heart back within 10 minutes of the incident to no prevail. On his death certificate is says he died from acute myocardial infarction caused by arteriosclerotic heart disease which he had without any problems apparently for 14 years. My question is do you think he felt the heart attack coming on or was it a sudden thing? Also could steroids for athritis cause this to happen?

Steriods for medicinal purposes and steriods for body building are a little bit different, but there is a chance they could have played a part. However, no offense, but your grandfather was 91. It's not like that heart hadn't been pumping for decades. Time takes it's toll on the body, and that particular disease is very prevelent. In fact, everyone gets it. There's a chance he felt something, but my guess would be he didn't. Unfortunately it's not that odd to have no problems and then suddenly die of a heart attack.

Chances are he could probably feel the symptoms of a future attack, but didn't recognize them.

My oldest sister had symptoms of heart problems for months before she die, but she couldn't tell the difference between her level of stress and a real problem. She thought her heart was fine for the last 9 years.

at that age the heart gets really weak , and steroids can
play a factor because lots of body builders from the 70's
and 80's did steroids and many of them suffered heart attacks .
I would never touch steroids.
