Becker Muscular Dystrophy?

My brother has been diagnosed with becker muscular destrophy when he was 18. the symptoms were there at his earlier ages. he can not turn his head around and he has to turn his full shoulder is that normal with this disease?

The outcome varies with the type of muscular dystrophy. All types of MD progressively worsen, but the speed of decline and extent of disability they cause varies widely. Some types are fatal.

the complications are:

deformities

scoliosis

joint contractures

permanent, progressive disability

decreased mobility

decreased ability to care for self

mental impairment

cardiomyopathy

respiratory failure

This is normal..... BMD is a milder form of DMD.
This is a sign of muscle weakness. Give him mild eccentric form of exercises. Take the suggestions of a physiotherapist before you formulate the exercise.
