Is there any permenant treatmant for Muscular Dystrophy? |
Muscular Dystrophy a disease of Muscular degeneration As you already know, MD is a genetic disorder of the gene that produces the protein dystrophin. This is one of the largest genes in the genome, which is why mutations often arise with no family history. There is no way to supplement the body with this protein and get it to end up in the right place. Our only hope is genetic research and stem cell therapy. Unfortunately, we are 8 years behind where we could be in that area. none sorry muscular dystrophy is the wasting of muscles. The permanent treatment for muscular dystrophy is supportive care, or symptomatic relief. There is no cure or way to stop the progression. |
