Muscular Dystrophy Alternative Treatment?

Anyone know if there's any alternative treatment for MD?

hi there!! I care for my grandfather who has Oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy. I know how difficult this disease is and my heart goes out to anyone dealing with it. I've talked with several specialist and have spent endless nights/days doing research on the net, trying to find alternative ways to treat MD. What I do know and the things that seem to work well with my grandpa are; 1) Having a colon cleanse once or twice a month. It is amazing how much this helps and all the different ways it helps. 2) Hydrotherapy. The hot and cold water used during hydrotherapy is soothing, easing muscle tension and relieving pain. The heat also improves circulation by causing blood vessels to dilate. The cold water can either be stimulating or soothing. 3) He also eats 3 servings of fruits and veggies a day, takes a daily vitamin supplement and drinks two ounces of Liquid Life - 75 colloidal minerals supplement twice a day which can be found in GNC. 4) He sleeps on an air mattress which continually deflates then inflates itself. He also sleeps with an oxygen mask on to improve his energy during the day. 5) Although exercise is said to quicken the progress of MD I do a light form of range of motion with him every morning which helps him tremendously. I've been taking care of my grandfather for 10 years and since we've started the alternative treatments and ditched all the prescriptions, he has improved in so many ways and has a much happier and healthier quality of life. Hope this is helpful for you!!:)

I do.

I was diagnosed with MD in 1980. I did not accept the diagnosis; so I spent as much time as I could directing ch'i into my weakened muscles, and spent time visualizing that I was tearing down the road on my motorcycle at 80 MPH.

6 months later; I had another test where there was no trace of Muscular Dystrophy. The doctors are still wondering what happened because they have two sets of tests, and they saw me go from riding a Honda motorcycle to riding a wheelchair, then a few months later to walking again, and a year later I was strong enough to ride my motorcycle again.

What happens is two fold.

1, With the increased lifeforce in my cells when they replicate; they have more energy and can make better copies of themself.

2. The subconscious mind has an incredible amount of power. the subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a real and imagined event. If you can convince the subconscious mind the imagined event is real instead of realityl the subconscious mind will release the chemicals to you body as if you had actually done the imagined event.

FYI. I have two legal documents

1 an FCC license when I was 22 years old

2. a drivers license when I was 50

These documents show that I am 7-8 inches taller now than I was when I was 22 years old. (something that is supposed to be IMPOSSIBLE!).

I do NOT ask anyone to take my word for it; send me your address; and I will send you a copy of the documents.

There are many types of muscular dystrophy and many triggers--gluten intolerance, for example--thus preventable without medication. Find out more and seek some info and tests from a neurologist or a muscle specialist, for example, An average MD may know little about the areas of very narrow specialized knowledge. After you gather as much info as possible it will be easier for you to select the alternatives. Good luck and Happy New Year.
