Would a muscle strain or pulled muscle show up on an xray? |
i went to the er last nigth for pains in my chest and rib area..they did an ekg and they saw i had an echo and holter monitor at the clinic and they said its nothing with my heart..they did an xray...saw nothing so my question if its a bad stain or pulled muscle or even some sort of inflammation would it should up on xray No, an x-ray is taken of the injured area to make sure you did not also break a bone. No, a muscle problem would not show up in an xray, hope you feel better soon! No. X-rays won't show that. x-rays do not show muscle injuries. if you are having chest pains and thought it might be a heart problem because of trouble breathing you could have pulled or strained the coastal muscles, they are between the ribs and assist in breathing. This could bother you far a couple of weeks. |
