I have had muscle spasms in my calf all day...any "cures"? |
I have a muscle disorder called Chronic Myofascial Pain. But I've never had all day spasms. I've had all day pain, just not spasms. That's where mine first started. I have them everywhere in my body. That took a few years to happen though. I'm going through the same thing but that seemed to have lead to many other issues. I feel for you, really. If you find out, Please email me and I will do the same, Hugs. This is going to sound crazy but I used to get awful nightime leg cramps and someone told me to grab my whole upper lip and apply firm pressure until the cramp subsides. And it does work. Grab it with your thumb and forefinger right in the middle of your lip. Good luck. Wow that sounds terrible. I have no experience with it but calcium is supposed to help them. Drink ginger tea, it is a natural antispasmodic. The only way I know is to seriously hydrate. Lack of water can cause bad leg cramps (as well as foot cramps for me). cold compress for 5 minutes followed immediately by hot compress for 5 minutes. repeat for about an hour, or until the pain is bearable. it worked for the pain after I dislocated my shoulder and had spasms from the physio |
