For Fibromyalgia sufferers - Does anyone have any helpful hints for curing the aches/pain in your legs?

Fibromyalgia is an unknown muscle disorder. You feel like you have the flu all the time and your body muscles aches, in various places at different times. My legs always ache badly. Just wondering how other Fibro sufferers do to help relieve the pain? Thanks.

Magnesium & MSM supplements help me more than anything else. Epsom salt is also wonderful, since magnesium actually absorbs better through skin than through a pill. Neurontin (gabapentin) relieves the shooting pain & the feeling of heaviness for me. Stretch daily, too - gentle stretches, don't push, & stretch very slowly.

Best thing for Fibromyalgia is ther ex. See if you can get into a water program. Properties of water will help a great deal.

walking a lot helps me keep pain at low key level
when bad use tylonol

My daughter, who has this condition suggests soaking in a bath with Epsom Salt. The box will tell you how much to use. She just dumps in "some".

There is a good scientific reason for this working that led us to try this. We've forgotten since the reason doesn't mater anymore. I just works so she uses it.

I don't have fibromyalgia but I have a friend who does and I suffer terrible knee and leg pain that as yet has to be diagnosed and if you believe at all in herbal medications then these 2 might be of help to you......first one is Lakota which you can get in pill form or rub and the second is Glucosamine pills....i hope this helps you and I truly hope you feel better soon sweetie,,,take care

The only thing that helps is pain meds and I lay on a heating pad very still, sometimes when I have a flareup the wind actually hurts beating againt my legs. Doctors haven't really embrace fibro yet they think we are a bunch of Hypochondriacs

Sorry to hear that. I've had FM for 11 years. My best remedy is stretching. Go to a book store and find a book.
Walking, Yoga and Pilate's is also great to ease the pain.
Good Luck!

I use a topical cream called Bio- Freeze. It helps me get through the day then at night I use ice/ heat/ice/heat. I often have to use my pain medications to get to sleep.
