Mumps in men and blood in the urine?

My boyfriend has just had blood results confirm that he has got mumps, he's got pills from the GP, but he's noticed traces of blood in his urine this morning. Is that to do with the mumps or something else?
He said his testicles are swollen which is a symtpom of the mumps. It's the blood in the urine that he's worried about.

P.S. we also know that it may cause sterility, he's going to be tested when the mumps have gone.

thank you, we never thought about doing a urine sample. We'll get it sorted.

What? you will have to test after the mumps is gone, Bleeding in the urine may be due to themumps, and yes it could cause sterelity. Try supporting you boyfriend testes by 1. letting him lie most of the time, the gravity could make it more swolen.
2. let him lie in his side where he is comfortable, and while lieng on his sideput some pillows between his thigh support his testes and make it comfortable.
3. Tell him to avoid walking to much it will aggrevate his condition.

This are only what i know hope it could help your boyfriend.

Just make sure his testes are supported, better ask the doctor NOW of ways how to prevent herniation. or to prevent further swelling of his testes. This way it could also prevent sterelity.

have him call his GP....duh!!!!!!!!!

first of all he have to do a full urine analysis
then go to the doctor
