DId the mumps (disease ) can lose the sex power?

iam affected of mumps

If you're unlucky it may affect your ability to have children later in life.

Mumps or Mono

I've never heard of it affecting anyone's sexual prowess, it can make people impotent though, especially in older men.

In 20 to 30 per cent of the cases of adult men with mumps, the disease infects the testicles (orchitis) causing swelling, pain, soreness and a higher temperature. This often occurs about a week after the disease has broken out, and is a serious infection that may cause sterility.

However, among the few sexually mature men who contract mumps, only half get orchitis. Of these patients, only 10 per cent are affected in both testicles, and even then it does not necessarily cause sterility. If sterility occurs, there is still a chance that fertility may return.

It is known to have made testicles useless, the sperm count becomes almost nil. U loose the power to produce children. Impotence cannot be caused by it.

sometimes it can cause men to be sterile

Orchitis ( inflammation of the testes) is a complication of mumps. If it occurs, it may affect spermatogenesis and cause sterility. This is more common if it occurs at puberty. However, it does not affect the sexual prowess. Even if orchitis does occur, it is not definite that the person will be sterile. Good luck for your recovery, and don't worry unnecessarily!
