Multiple sclerosis and financial help ?

My mrs has multiple sclerosis and has difficulty getting around.She has a middle rate care for personal care and a higher rate for help with getting around.She does not drive but i do so can we apply for a mobility car to help us out.

Hi there, sorry to hear bout your mrs.
As your wife is in receipt of high rate dla for getting around then yes, you are definitely entitled to a car on a scheme called : Motability. Most car sales showrooms have details on how to go about this. The money you receive for the getting around bit would be taken off you and in place of that you get to choose a car. Cool eh?
You are also entitled to a Blue Badge (free parking) and do not have to pay road tax.
Also contact your benefits office, they should be letting you know more of what you are entitled to.
You are probably entitled to carers allowance for yourself too.

be strong i been in same situation with my ex wife it gets very frustrating not sure about car but there is a organisation called options in s.a. a government run thing they arranged a access cab book with 50 vouchers that gives you 50% discount may help.
