Multiple sclerosis exercises?

are there any exercises that a person can do with multiple sclerosis, that don't include walking, running, or other strenous activites. they would also need to be done holding onto a support as balance is not good. thank you

Hi Daniel97202, I have MS also. I used to love to walk for miles. Now I can barely get thru the grocerie store. My Dr. told me to extend my legs out, while sitting and do circles with my feet. this is sopose to strengthen your legs. It's all very tiring to me. I bought a 3 wheel bicycle. Actually my Mom got it in Florida and sent it to me. That way I don't need the balance. I have 3 wheels. That would give you good exercise if you could afford to have one shipped to you.

Hi Daniel, keep those muscles moving and stretching, Yoga works. Report It

hi daniel i also have ms and yoga seems to work or water exercise helped me Report It

You can also try water therapy, even though my symptoms are minor it helps allot. Just remember MS patients have problems in hot weather and it can cause attack like symptoms. so a nice cool pool is great.
