Can slouching cause multiple sclerosis?

i think i may have a might have a mild form of it now. i have been sluching for so long, and when i notice; i try to correct myself. but when i sit up straight, it feels like muscles in my abdomen and back are pulling. but then when i slouch back down, it hurts my back. do you think i might have a mild form of multiple sclerosis? any tips on how to prevent it from getting worse? please help.

I doubt that you have form of MS.I suspect you have just slouched so long that's the way your muscles are comfortable.I would try stretching exercises and concentrating on sitting up straight.Yoga would be great for this !

Slouching does not cause it.

Uh, I'm almost positive you can't get MS from slouching. It's a gene you're born with. Duh, your back hurts because it isn't used to sitting up straight.

ms is a nervous system disease, you can't get it from slouching. In most cases ms is genetic. Your back probably hurts because you do slouch and your muscles are used to it. If you want it to stop you will just have to keep trying to sit up straight. There are also some muscle isolation excersises you can do to improve posture.
i am sure you can look them up online.

No. MS is an autoimmune disease.

No, slouching doesn't cause MS.
No one knows why exactly, but genetics and environment might have something to do with the disease.
Don't worry.

What your are describing does not sound like MS.
I think what you might have is a case of bad posture.

But, go to the doc if it doesn't get better.
I'm sure they will tell you it's not MS, but possibly something else.

Good luck.
My wife has MS and believe me, what you are describing doesn't sound like symptoms of the disease.

I have MS and I can tell you that this is neither the cause or a common symptom of MS. MS is an autoimmune disease and is not caused by slouching or anything of that nature. Most likely causes are genetics and environmental. Try exarcising your muscles in this area to strengthen them,
