What does "multiple pregnancies" mean in the following? |
I was reading about ovarian cancer and it said "A Woman with a history of multiple pregnancies" was a low risk factor for developing the cancer. What does this mean. Does it mean multiple as in giving birth to twins or triplets or does it mean having many pregnancies in general. I have given birth to 3 children at 3 different times. Does this mean I have a history of multiple pregnancies. Thanks for any help. Multiple pregnancies (not necessarily multiple births) means you have been pregnant more than once. For instance, you can be pregnant but miscarry, and it would still count as a pregnancy. YES multiple pregnancy is more then one pregnancy even if you had a set of twins it is considered 1. with three children yes you have had multiple pregnancy and God bless you One was enough for me. it means more than one pregnancy. my mother had 2 children and she had ovarian cancer which is very hard to detect. it can be hereditary so i keep a close check on things. |
