Is the mother or father responsible for a multiple birth? |
It seems to me that it would be impossible for the father to have anything to do with a multiple birth since it involves nothing but the ova from the mother. Am I right? Yes. Only one sperm can penetrate the ovum. Multiple births can occur in a couple of different ways: Multiple ovum are fertilized and attach to the uterine wall. Multiple ovum are implanted by a doctor during IVF, or the egg splits into multiples after fertilization takes place. Yes. It is caused by multiple eggs, normally. correct...it is the mother that has multiple fertilized eggs I am fairly sure your right, My dd has naturally concieved triplets, Dr told her that she released eggs over 3 days and were fertilised, thus giving her a multiple birth intercourse is. correct you are. It takes two to Tango.Of course he had something to do with it! Multiple births are hereditary, and yes it is on the maternal side. My friend Sarah didn't realize that their were twins in her family, but then again it also skips a generation. You have twins, or what not, then your grandchildren will most likely have twins as well. Good luck. depends..there are two kinds of multiple birth, one that results to identical and the other to unidentical twins...sometimes, for some reason there are 2 ova available instead of one and if both of them were entered by sperm then that results to UNidentical twins...and the other is when one ova that meets with a sperm divides into two and multiplies separately then that leads to identical twins...so sometimes its both who's responsible and sometimes its just the mother No body is responsible for this,it happened in that way normally goes one egg but ardently more eggs go in and it can happen. While some will tell you that it's the mother and multiple eggs being fertilized by one sperm, there are occasions when one or two more spems will fertilize an egg. It happens when there's a family history of multiple birth. It can involve an egg being fertilized and splitting (identical twins, for example) or two or more eggs being fertilized (fraternal twins). WRONG!!!! A woman may drop multiple eggs but without sperm nothing is going to happen. Also genetics play a role do multiple births run on mother or fathers side? Identical twins are caused by the egg splitting but you have to fertilize. Fraternal are two eggs and two sperm. Not really. Which ever way , the father is definately involved. The father and the mother are important in determining multiple birth!Without the father, there can never be a multiple birth. |
