Can you be pregnant because of multiple periods? |
I have had 3 periods within 1 month and 1/2. I was told that I should take a pregnancy test. I am not on birth control and have never had an irregular period. What should I do? There are a bunch of reasons this could be happening, but since your appointment is coming up this week, why not relax and wait for the physician to advise you? Extra or irregular periods can be caused by so many things, severe stress, weight changes, or the body "resetting" itself into a new cycle, or for older women, it can be normal peri-menopausal activity. Isn't it funny that one person puts the thought of pregnancy into your head and now you can't get it out? Before that person told you to take a pregnancy test, you probably weren't even thinking of it! Good luck at your appointment. you won't ovulate that frequently in that time period. Take a pregnancy test. Maybe you got pregnant and are spotting or miscarrying. If you're not pregnant, you should make an appointment to see your GYN. That type of bleeding is often referred to as Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding and needs to be investigated. Don't let them just put you on the pill without finding out why you're bleeding like this all of a sudden! |
