Is it common for people with Bulimia to have mouth sores?

I have an eating disorder and I was wondering why I keep getting so many mouth sores. It cant be stomach acid? I often brush my teeth after throwing up so why so many sores?
Is there any medicine for that?

I cant get medical help, no insurance + my parent have no money due to massive amounts of bills and im 17 going to college in a few months. I'm afraid that I will not be in control when I'm away. I was wondering if there was a normal pharmacy medicine that could help?

Yes...very. Eventually your teeth will rot away as well, Even though you brush theres no way you can get rid of all the acid & its damaging effects. I really wish you the best of luck in fighting this

even though you brush your teeth, the stomach acid is still eroding everything in your mouth, your teeth, your gums, your cheeks, everything...the only way to help that, is to get help for your eating disorder...any idea how much damage you are doing to your body?? If it goes on long enough, you could end up killing yourself...please get help.

It probably is the stomach acid's fault. Stomach acid is the most acidic natural substance on earth! The stomach has to grow a new layer of mucas every three days to keep it from eating itself. You could go to the doctor and tell him you have acid reflux and he might prescribe something that heals damaged esophagous lining, but I'm not sure what you can do for your mouth. Sorry.

Bulimia can cause sores in the mouth as well as on your fingers.......both of which are caused by acid. Please seek help through counseling or at least group therapy. If you continue down this path you will die!

yes it is the acid from the throw up..not good, please get some help
