Does the chew/spit eating disorder actually work? |
i've heard several times that chew/spit eating disorder doesn't work, because absorption of calories starts in the mouth. But, at the same time I hear of people who have lost weight doing this.. I would assume so since one is not actually eating food and the calories that may be absorbed in the mouth are probably very minimal. in terms of macronutrients only simple sugars or free form amino acids could be digested through the lining in the mouth. it would take an awful lot of either of them to add up to a measurable amount of calories no, eating disorders do not work. yes because you consume less calories however i only do that on very yummy tasting food that is bad for you and really fattening so i do this like less than once a month! I'm currently ADDICTED to doing that b.c... well, it actually does work. I'm really good at it. Hiding the food, sneaking it, throwing it away..etc. Certain foods are so freakin pastey in your mouth like oreos & chocolate. I usually have to eat it slowly & make sure I spit it out well. I sometimes allow myself to eat/swallow a few bites, but not enough for my body to respond to it/get fat. |
