EXTREME motion sickness HELP!!!?

since i was born i have had motion sickness. i was afraid of my baby swing and to this day i cannot ride a carousel or any rides at the carnival or amusement parks. i have the highways because of the over pass going up and down (the worst). recently we past through Houston, Tx and we went thru an overpass and the downside was steep. I got so hysterical and cried and i was about ready to jump out of our van. my parents got scared and my dad (driving) didn't know what to do. its so bad that i feel my blood to go straight to my head and i feel that a vein my pop in the back of my head. my stomach feels awful and i feel anxiety. Has anyone felt like that or is feeling that and if so how can i treat it? My boyfriend is a truck driver and he has asked me to go riding with him but my parents told me that i cannot "Be afraid" or he'll have an accident. I really want to go and i love traveling. Also i hate flying and boats.

You have a few options: take a benadryl, get a motion sickness patch (for behind the ear) or always face forward and sit in the front seat.

A Jamaican boat hand once told me that apples help too. I always eat peppermint if my stomach gets sick.

It also sounds like you could use an anti-anxiety like ativan.

i usually get motion sick too. when i eat ice and breath cold air, it goes away. I wonder why that happens. You can do the same. I guess the cold alerts your stomach then relaxes it. It then relaxes the person themselves. it works for me...

try it

It sounds like this has turned into a phobia.
You are expecting yourself to react with anxiety so this is what happens. Maybe a therapist could help you start to manage your anxiety in small steps.
You could try to use desensitization techniques. Your boyfriend
can help you take small steps as well.
Best Wishes
