Can A Sinus Infection Cause Motion Sickness?

can a sinus infection cause motion sickness in a car?..im thinking i might have a near infection i know that can cause it but what about sinus

Yes, it can. Upper respiratory tract infections (URI) can cause motion sickness through a variety of methods. The inner ear is connected to your throat through the eustachian tube. This tube allows drainage of fluids and equalization of pressures. If blocked, it can lead to pressure build-up, which you sense as a imbalance. In addition, the microbes that are responsible for one URI (such as sinusitis) can cause other URIs (colds, ear infections, etc.). Ear infections can lead to the sense of imbalance.

Yes it can. Your ears, nose, and throat all go together so if you have a sinus infection it can throw your equilibrium off in your ears causing motion sickness.

When in doubt, get a professional opinion.
