Are mosquito bites generally warmer then normal skin temperature? |
I was outside for a few hours two days ago; and I got quite a few mosquito bites. They all seem normal; except for this one on my arm. It's swelling larger then what appears basic, and the skin there is very warm. Yes. As histamine is released and white blood cells rush to the injury/irritation, inflammation (swelling) occurs. The increased activity in the localized area causes a slightly higher temperature. |
