Mononucleosis. aka kissing disease?


What is Mononucleosis??????????

mono is a viral disease that affects the respitory system, liver, and lymphatic system. it is contagious by close contact like kissing, sharing food, and coughing. symptoms are fever, sore throat, loss of appetite, fatigue, swollen glands, jaundice, headache, and general aching. recovery is about 10 days, with cortisone drugs from your doc. goodluck.

Mononucleosis is a form of a herpes virus and symptoms include fever, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes (the infection-fighting glands in your neck, underarms, groin, and elsewhere throughout your body), headaches, sore muscles
enlarged liver or spleen (an organ located on the left side of your belly, right under your ribs, that filters blood and helps fight infections)....it is called the kissing disease because it occurs most often in 15-25year olds and this is a common way for it to be passed but it can be passed also from drinking straws, soda cans, pillows, toothbrushes that are in the same cup and most any other way that contact viruses are spread

It's a virus that causes fatige, fever, swollen glands as well as some possible other symptoms such as achy joints and sore throat. It is called the kissing disease because it's so contagious through saliva but you can catch it from a sneeze, hand to mouth contact, etc...
