Mononucleosis question...(help)..?

I THINK i might have mononucleosis..my throat is starting to get sore and i feel pretty weak...how long will it be until other symptoms like fever start and stuff?? please help..

i kissed a girl 3 days ago...my throat is starting to hurt and i feel a bit funny...i'm wondering if its mono cause some people say it might be..others say it couldn't be cause it develops much later...help?

Please go see your doctor right away. The symptoms can be very bad. Such as sore throat, fever, very flu like. A doctor can prescribe meds to help with the symptoms. Either way you're going to need plenty of rest and fluids. Also very important...no alcohol for one year. Get better soon.

Instead of waiting for the symptoms to get worse, take zinc tablets to boost up your immune system and hopefully you can fight it and even if you are too late your healing process will be much quicker.

I had no appetite and I also developed little white spots on my tonsils. It felt like my throat was closing in on itself. I don't remember having a fever, but I did feel VERY lethargic. I couldn't stop sleeping. This all came on within a few days. Get to the doctor now before you feel really miserable - it's NO fun at all!! I did lose weight that week though. ;o)

I think that you should make an appointment to see your doc and get confirmation of your fears with a blood test.
Have you had the other initial symptoms like a high temperature and headache? Are the glands swollen in your neck, armpits and groin? Do you have tonsilitis?
Should you be diagnosed with mononucleosis it's going to take you several weeks to get over it and then some time to regain your full vitality.
You are in good company - thousands of people, usually middle to late teenagers, develop this every year.
