Mononucleosis - I need your help!?

My husband is deployed and got Mononucleosis - I have read that it will take to 2-4 weeks to get ok. But the virus will stay in your entire life. They said not allowed to kiss or share food if the symptoms still there.

He will be home after 4 months do you think it's ok to kiss him? Or I'll get the virus too since it will stay in his entire body?

I need the advice from real doctor or nurse or anyone who have knowledge with this.

I have read lots of information in the internet but I have read the same stuff.

Wow, deja vu...I got mono while deployed to Bosnia. Fortunately, the docs got me right on the antibiotics and I was feeling back to my old self 100% after two weeks. Six weeks after that I was standing on the tarmac kissing my wife, and she didn't get it.

Umm This guy does not know what he is talking about. Mono is a Viral Infection not a bacterial so Antibiotics will do nothing Source:http://firstaid.webmd.com/mono... . Report It

I am not a doctor or nurse but I have had friends who have had it. It lies dormant and is not contagious after major symptoms dissipate from what I know.
