Mononucleosis symptoms? |
I went to the doctor earlier this week because it felt like I had a flu, or a really bad cold. I had a sore throat etc.. I had a fever, and my doctor told me I could have Mononucleosis and to wait till Monday to see if I get better. I thought I was getting better, but now I feel uneasy and ill.. I'm tired and I feel very weak. Are these symptoms of mono? My sore throat has gone away, but now I have a cough, and a tight/conjested chest. This sounds like mono and could last a lot longer than the cold or flu if it is mono. If you just started college, there is a good chance this could be mono. This happens to many college students. However, this could also be a sign of the cold or flu. The best thing to do is check back with your doctor. I had mono, and it's not fun. I first felt sick all over (like the flu..); had a headache and temperature...My throat itself didn't hurt, but my neck was very sore (the glands swelling..). I was like that for a day - went to the doctor and had a test done for mono. Yes - I also felt very weak....and my temp. just kept going up. Good luck. yes they are signs of mono. I had mono and was so weak I was a job just to get up and go to the bathroom. But I don't like the sound of your doctor saying wait until monday to see if you feel better. go back to him and ask about the complications of mono. I nearly died from I and know a few who did. You need to rest and rest and rest. go back to the doctor. I edge you |
