Is it possible to get mononucleosis from person who had it five monts ago,if you sit very close to person.?

One and a half weeks ago i was sitting beside a girl who had a mononucleosis five monts ago. Is it possible that I cought a virus, we were just talking, but were sitting wery close ichother.

No!

NO!!

No, I don't think so.

If you're telling the whole truth, absolutely not.

If I remember correctly, mono stays in your system forever and makes you a carrier, and it can be transferred by droplet. So, yes, if you breathed in a droplet from that person's infected breath, you could contract it. But I was told this a long time ago by a doctor. Not sure if it's true. He was, after all, a military doctor.

Yes.
I had Mononucleosis once and never knew it. It came as a complete shock to me when I had bloodwork done for another reason. I didn't get Mono the best way (From kissing)! I got it from someone coughing in a small room. Oddly enough, ever since then I have yet to fall ill to a virus.

Since Mononucleosis is a relative of the Herpes virus, it stays with you for the rest of your life. So there is a possiblity you could catch it from her.

NO.As long as she is cured you will be fine.

Yes, you can still catch it! Mono never goes away. Whom every contracts mono, it stuck with it for the rest of their life. It does not mean though they will always have the symptoms for it, but they are still a carrier for it.

You could easily get mono, better be careful what you do!

nope, for one, she shouldn't be contagious before, and secondly, mono can't be spread just through the air.

yes. mononucleosis is caused by the eipstein barr virus. once you contract it you become a lifelong carrier, and if your body is shedding viruses (which happens at random intervals) then you are contagious. if she coughed or sneezed near you, then you could catch it the same way you can catch a cold.

You have to catch it during the incubation period. You can't catch any disease after that.
