Mononucleosis Carriers?

Is there such thing as a "carrier" of Mono? (Without having any symptoms)
Reason for asking: I am pretty sure I have Mono and my husband has very good immune system (never gets sick).

Could he have got it from kissing another woman? Then, only became a "carrier". If this is true.. How long would it have taken him to pass it to me.. 4 to 7 weeks (incubation period) or longer maybe? I will ask my doctor in addition to your advice, will be posted on here after my visit with him.

Some people with mono can be asymptomatic. However, I wouldn't assume that your husband the agent of transmission. Despite its nickname "The kissing disease", mono can be contracted through contaminated saliva on shared dinnerware, glasses, or utensils. Meaning the dishwasher at your favorite restaurant didn't do a very good job. That's how I got it, and that's how it spreads in schools so easily. Unless you have another reason to suspect your husband of infidelity, give him the benefit of the doubt. Nine times out of ten, he wasn't the one who gave it to you.

Hope you feel better soon.

everyone has EBV...95% of the worlds population has this virus in their bodies....the thing the scientists are not sure of is why it activates in certain people while the remainder is uneffected.

ebv is caused by many circumstances, not just by kissing.

good luck!
