Mononucleosis help please!!!!!!!?

I had mono about 6 months ago. What are some of the effects that will stay with me the rest of my life?? I had it really bad where my troat was nearly swollen shut.

Once your body deals with the virus that causes mono, the virus goes into hiding in your body. It can come out later if your immune system becomes compromised, such as when you take medications to help with organ or bone marrow transplantation.

There is some evidence that suggests that the virus (called EBV) may also be associated with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, two chronic problems for which there is no known cause. Keep in mind that alomst everyone has been exposed to EBV and don't get these conditions, so don't worry about it.

As far as the actual symproms of mono causing harm, don't worry. Once over it, you are over it.

None will stay for the rest of your life. It takes a while to get over it, and for a year you can possibly give it to someone else. But no, no symptoms stay forever.
