Halloween and Mononucleosis?

Well if my friend does have Mono, could she go Trick-or-Treating???????

Another question:
Can only girls get Mono????
I asked because a symptom is Fatigue.and guys dont get Fatigue.
If you were tested for mono and you were on your period would the test be a negative???

Please Answer with as much detail as possible.

Mono is not a gender specific disease. Anyone,male or female, can catch it. It is easily spread through saliva or from sneezes; so kissing someone with mono is a great way to catch it.

Mono has nothing to do with menstruation. If you have mono you would test positive for it regardless of the state of your cycle.

By the way, anyone can get feel fatigued. If you catch a cold and you feel tired, that is fatigue.

As to trick or treating....it is up to her and her parents to decide if she should go out tonight. Probably not. Rest is the surest cure for mono.

I agree with what everyone else has said...uys can get it, guys get fatigue, and pd. has nothing to do with it.

I would say if she has mono she probably wouldn't even want to go out tonight
