I have mononucleosis, but I feel like I am getting worse, not better? |
I also have a lump on the back of my neck and my doctor asked if anyone in my family had cancer. The lump was apart from the enlarged lymph nodes, which have gone down, but I still have the lump. i don't have a sore throat anymore, but now I feel like I am going to die. I don't feel right. I feel fatigued and full of anxiety and I have body aches. Question: is something else wrong too and is it contagious at this point ( I have work tomorrow) and what do you think the "lump" is? Sounds like the lump on the neck is a separate issue. Unless your doctor wants to investigate that further, I suggest you monitor it and if it changes in any way (size, shape, dimples, bleeds) report this to your doctor. I can't possibly know what it is. Speak to your doctor about it. When I had mono a few years ago it got a lot worse before it got better. I had a terrible rash (all down my stomach, legs and on my butt- miserable I tell you). No work tomorrow. It's not contagious if you've had a lot of antibiotics. I don't know about the lump, but it should be biopsied. If you still feel really badly, you need to see the dr ASAP. Sounds like you're really suffering. You poor thing. Aside from the lump on the back of your neck, all the symptoms you are describing are symptoms of mono. its still prolly the swollen lymph node and yes it takes awhile for your body to feel normal. call in sick and rest and drink lots of fluids. |
