New moles?

i've noticed some really small moles appearing on my skin. probably the size of this period ->. haha well, could this be a bad thing? i barely go out in the sun, so what else could be the cause of these random moles?

I have learned that moles pop up for no reason at all.. When I was pregnant I got new moles on my stomach and my legs! I worried that they were not healthy and I ended up having 21 shave biopsies on them! Luckily they were all fine! The moles you are describing are not abnormal shape, size, or color, so they are perfectly normal! I believe hormones can bring on moles.. there may be other explanations too! Growing up my mother told me that my moles were "angel kisses".. I have never been embarrassed by them!

Honestly it sounds like a freckle and well moles aren't bad... if they are round and not "funky" looking or feeling then it's nothing to worry about.

I'm someone who has 16 moles and a lot of freckles. If you are really worried then you should see a doctor to make sure it's nothing horrible. my dad had one on his nose that needed to be removed because apparently it was cancerous.

I wouldn't be too worried. I'm in nursing school right now and they say that you should just keep an eye on them. If there is a change in color, size, or if they become asymmetrical then go see a dermatologist. Even then don't be too worried. I had a mole that changed in size and it just turned out to be nothing. Also, maybe you can look up pictures online of what is normal and what is not.

Moles can appear if you USED to sun yourself, even if you no longer do.

Moles can appear in areas where there is constant irritation from clothing, bra clasps for example.

Mole development can also be genetic. See if your parents have several moles.

DO HAVE A DERMATOLOGIST LOOK AT ALL OF YOUR MOLES PERIODICALLY. IF YOU SEE CHANGES IN ANY OF YOUR MOLES, BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AS SOON AS YOU CAN.

Sounds like freckles to me, but I'm not a doctor. If you are really worried about it, you can go to the doctor. He will either tell you it is nothing, or do a biopsy. I just had one done on my arm, and it wasn't pleasant but it also wasn't too horrible. If you are worried about them, there is no reason to chance it. But it is probably nothing.
