Overweight people and moles? |
I bet you think this is a question trying to pick on the overweight people, don't you? Well it's not. This question is for my moma, and is a legit question. She starting gaining weight a few years ago, and has started to get these little moles mostly on her neck. Someone said something to her about how overweight people get these moles because of their weight. Is that true? Can they be removed? Does it mean anything, like health wise? She isn't a lot overweight, but these moles bother her. Thanks. yes, it is true, they are called skin tags (extra fatty tissue) and can be foze off by a dermatologist That's stupid, my ex was overweight and he didn't have weird moles around his neck. If she's so bothered by them, she can get them removed. they can be removed by a doctor, im fat and i have them but i think its more about aging and everyone seems to get them eventually and skin tag moles might be related to polyp growth in the colon so she should have that checked too, they usually use co2 to freeze the moles off. It probably does have to do with weight gain. While I was pregnant I got a lot of them (skin tags) and I'm guessing it was because I gained about 38 lbs. They can be removed and usually are harmless. If she's worried I'd get them checked by a dermatologist, just to make sure the aren't cancerous. Good luck! well if your talking about hangy moles i guess then it's not because she's over weight she needs to see if she has skin cancer i was born with one on my ear and i had it removed no problem i also have skin cancer and my doctor told me that they were a sign of it. Well, black moles especially run in my family. I also have other hanging ones. grandma, mom, grandaunts,me, daughter, uncles 3 of them, all on my mothers side. My mom had the ones around her neck and face removed. I had dome of the bigger ones around my neck, but need to have more taken off. They don't look too good. But I think more about it runs in the family and has nothing to do with weight.. |
