Tanning bed bad for moles? |
I was wondeing if laying in the tanning bed was bad for your moles, because I have been laying since last year and around certain moles I have extremely white skin.. I was just wondering if this is normal??? Keep a watchful eye on your moles for any changes in shape, size, or color, as this could be an indication of skin cancer or pre-cancer. It is a good idea to check with your doctor or a dermatologist for annual skin checks. Tanning does increase your risk for skin cancer. Have you considered using the self-tanning lotions or sprays? They are a great alternative and have a natural color - lots of varieties available, even for fair skin :) is bad for skin and moles also Tanning beds are just bad for you. You question is a bit like asking if smoking is bad for your teeth! A mole is a collection of pigmentation in the skin, and tanning is only accelerating this process in the skin. Especially if you are fair - skinned, don't make yourself a bed for cancer. There are plenty of self-tanning options that can give you the look you want without putting yourself in danger of cancer. |
