Is black mold making me sick??

I have moved into my house 3 months ago. I have very bad case of black mold in one room with mold in another. I have been ill since i moved in. I now have a very sore tight chest and find any exertion seriously hard. I have never felt like this before.
I also have a constant drippy nose and a headache. I also seen to have large mood swings and feel tired.
Could my mold be the problem?? i cant get it fixed as its a rented property and the landlord says that there is no danger so wont fix it yet.

My landlord is my soon to be mother in law and my finance wont tell her. How can i get him to realize its dangerous.

i am going to the doctors tomorrow, how to i bring it up and explain it.

Im in the UK

I would seriously seek advice on this, a lot of landlords put proffits before people, if its mouldy its damp, try citizens advice (uk) or similar, or refuse to pay untill its fixed

yes

As soon as you said Mold bells and whistles went off

Any mold left untreated can be expensive to you medically cost wise and on going health problems you WILL have

If he does not take care of it get a lawyer and take him to court for in dangering your life I have seen cases settled for as little as $400,000 and the owner has gotten fined and suspended sentences

And do not out of court make a settlement the court will eat him up. And he know it he is not able to tell if it is safe mold or not there is no such thing as safe mold on planet earth.

They even scrape it off chesse before the can sell it

Your landlord sounds just like my landlord.
Yes the mold is making you sick. I am not sure where you are from but I am posting a link about mold... it gives a lot of info and symptoms... if you can print off a copy and give it to your landlord....or better yet get a health inspector to come in your home or go get a doctors note....

there is danger look up on the web and tell your doc you are breathing in the spores of the mould and it is enough to make you sick if your landlord wont fix it get mould remover and then gumption your walls allow the rooms to aired out and thoroughly include ceilings in your cleaning wear a mask whilst doing this also the spores from the mould will attach to your lungs and cause respitory problems.

try and get rid of the mold with a mixture of water and bleach, and give it a good wash, if you can have some ventilation, and you shoud wear a mask,

My sister-in-law moved into a house where there was mold. She didn't find out about it for several months when her toilet overflowed and the plumber removed the toilet to find black mold in the floorboards. The plumber, by law, informed the landlord. The landlord did nothing. The plumber refused to put the toilet back in until the mold was removed. Instead of the landlord hiring someone to take care of the mold he put the toilet in himself.
My sister-in-law, thinking that it was all killed and cleaned out stayed in the home and became pregnant with her second daughter. The older girl developed severe sinus problems with headaches and my sister-in-law became obese very quickly and for no apparent reason. Her husband became very irritable and started drinking heavily and beat my sister-in-law and was put in jail. And all this happened very quickly. Oh, my sister-in-law also developed upper respiratory disease.
Sounds like something from Amity Ville Horror, right?
When the baby was born she was diagnosed as having some strange developmental disorders, autism, and was deaf in one ear. She's nine now, but is more like three. When she was born the doctor had asked about mold. This sent shivers down her spine and she contacted the landlord who said that all the mold was killed.
Further investigation, which was forced by the insurance company, found that the mold had not been killed. The insurance company sued the landlord.

My sister-in-law receives three thousand dollars a month from the law suit against her landlord. Not just for medical expenses, but for all the pain and suffering caused to the family and to pay for her husband's incarceration and psychiatric expenses.

Of course your landlord is going to say that everything is okay. Teach him a lesson.

Mold spores are very easily transported to different areas by attaching themselves to various hosts. These hosts would include people, animals, shoes and they even enter through open windows and doors. The spores then thrive and grow where it is damp and moist.
