I have anxiety, is it definite that I have mitral valve prolapse? |
I have been recently diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder. I read somewhere that I most likely have mitral valve prolapse. My aunt and uncle have this, but when my doctor checked my heart he did not hear anything. Should I get a second opinion? Does anyone have MVP that have any good/bad advice or comments? No, anxiety and heart conditions like MVP are totally unrelated. i suffer with anxiety i couldnt go out of the house for one year with panic atacts, the sympoms are sweaty palms dizzyness feeling as though you cant breath pins and needles the time varies on how long the atack lasts, with my anxiety i felt tierd all the time but not everyone does,my heart used to race and the more i worried about it the worse it got, i got myself a relaxation tape and sent for a hypnosis cd on panick atacks,i was at the doctors all the time because you dont beleive what there telling you you feel as though you are having a heart atack i f you get the pain in your chest as well, but if you are like i was, make an appointment and tell the doctor you would like an ecg and anymore tests you can get, when you go on the internet you have everything because they are the same symtoms,if you have a good doctor he will know with the symtoms you have told him,if he was worried he would send you for tests, you could try the breathing excersize take slow deep breath in through your nose breath out slow through your mouth and count to 5 as you are breathing out about 6 times do this regular during the day and when you feel anxious, please try and relax it dosnt last for ever but can frighten you, It is not definite. The two are not related in any way. I have anxiety and have had for years and I have no heart trouble whatsoever. |
