Miscarriage question. I have had 2 in a row and feel horrible? |
Long story short, In November 2006 I had a miscarriage, I was waiting to have a period before we started trying again, but I ended up getting pregnant again (definitley unexpected). According to the ultrasound I had last Friday I was six weeks and you could see the heartbeat and everything was great, that Sunday I started bleeding and really cramping and had to go to the hospital, turns out I lost the baby again. I don't know what to think now... I don't know if this miscarriage was brought on b/c I ended up getting pregnant right after the last one and did not have a period or what. I want to have a baby so bad but I am afraid to try again b/c of my experiences with miscarriage. Can anyone else tell me if they have experienced this??? Thanks for your time. miscarriages....a tough subject to talk about...sorry ;( After a miscarriage it is generally considered better to wait a while, as long as 6 months to a year even, before trying to conceive again. Yes, not having time to recuperate and have more periods is going to affect in some ways whether or not you will miscarry again. However, it is also good to wait to help heal the deep emotional wounds you're feeling. I would suggest waiting a few months at least before trying to conceive, give yourself time to be well, in both body and mind, that will help you in your pregnancy. I've seen many women miscarry and be completely devastated, however many do conceive after a time, you just have to give your body time to get over the trauma of a miscarriage. I can tell you that i have experienced this, many times. My first pregnancy i miscarried a few weeks in, my second is 30 years old now, my 3rd thru 7th i didn't get past 2 months, actually, my 7th i made it up to just shy of 3 months when i thought i might actually be able to carry full term. When your ready, and you have given it some time, try again, they say that miscarriage is the body's way of ...well, if things aren't right, or the baby isn't healthy, nature takes care of things in it's way. |
