Miscarriage, what will I see or feel?

I usually have 3 day light almost cramp free periods. This past month my husband and I have been working on a baby. (<i>we actually started on valentine's day</i>) which wud make me a little over a month if that's when we conceived. Well last week of feb and this months period which started yesterday were so bad I could only stay in bed. This months period is so heavy and the cramps are really bad, i can handle them but they are worse than usual. They aren't all day, I can take a Goody's powder and feel better, but could I be having a miscarriage? In a early miscarriage what are some symptoms and what could I look for as far as my physical period?

If you aren't that far along then yes it may be a miscarriage. I had one last year at 9 weeks and these were my symptoms...

1. Worse cramps than a normal period but not unbearable
2. Much more clotting in the blood than normal
3. One unusually large clot
4. Bled more than normal (& I usually have 3 days of a heavy period anyway)
5. Bleeding only lasted one day longer than my normal period would've (i.e. 4 days)

However, the only way to know for sure is to go see the doctor. Even if you have miscarried, there should still be enough HCG left in your blood to let the doctor know for sure whether you were pregnant or not... Good Luck

for miscarriages ususally the pain is unbearable. it feels as if you're being ripped out inside.
physically you will see clogs of blood, mostly. unlike the regular periods when the blood is mostly fluid. anyway if you have doubts, check with your doctor, he will have to make you an echography to check that everything is evacuated, and if your blood rhesus is negative, you should have an innjection.
