Miscarriage Questions 2? |
Okay..so I posted earlier about my sis ...she may or may not be having a miscarriage...by the way for all of the answers. Anyways....if she did have a miscarriage..which her spotting happened this morning and they couldnt find the baby in the ultrasound..(internal&external) and she is like 3-5 wks...I'm just wondering if she did or is when will her symptoms stop? I mean she is still eating for two..her breast are still very tender she is no longer spotting...and has been having headaches--well I dunno--I guess it's going to be a long 2 days b/4 she goes to get her blood test--but obviosly if they couldn't see it internally then she has probably had a miscarriage right? or can it be that small? It is possible she might still be pregnant. She would still be early enough in the pregnancy that the embryo's heart simply hasn't formed enough to begin beating yet. That happens around the 6th week. Even with ultrasound, it's still pretty early to find the proverbial needle in the haystack. If she truly were only closer to 3 weeks, it's still tiny enough that the amniotic sac has just begun to form and could quite easily be missed. Spotting at this point, especially if it has stopped, doesn't mean that the pregnancy is doomed or has ended. It is really best to wait until the blood test can confirm things, or eliminate the possiblity. The ultrasound is not really accurate at this early stage. It won't be until somewhere around the 6-8 week point. Her best option at this point would be to rest and try to relax as best she can. If she has not miscarried, she may still be at a slightly higher risk. If she has, she needs to recouperate. I'm sure it is a difficult time for her at the moment, you as well, while you wait, but that's about all you can do. Yes , it could be Sorry, but it sounds like a miscarriage. |
