Another miscarriage question? |
I had a miscarriage 2 night ago and the bleeding has slowed down a lot. I had no cramps yesterday at all and I didn't today either until about an hour ago. I started feeling more cramps again and then I went to use the bathroom and passed another clot. It was pretty large but my bleeding hasn't increased after passing it. I know you can continue to bleed for a week or so after a miscarriage but how long will you continue to pass tissue for? Does it usually all pass the same day or can it take a few days to stop passing clots? I am suprised that I passed more tissue because in the ER 2 nights ago I passed several clots raning anywhere from nickel size up to golf ball size and the one I just passed was about the size of a golf ball but I think it was the baby because it had a string type thing attached to it. I'm assuming it was maybe the placenta and umbilical cord attached to the sac with the baby in it. How long will the passing of tissue go on? i don't know but i just wanted to say i'm sorry. that is a terrible thing to happen. look up miscarriages on yahoo or google. It can continue up to two weeks. Maybe you were pregnant with more than one? Did the ER do all the testing to ensure that you passed everything? You could very well have to have a D & C performed so that you will be able to have children in the future! You need to check into this. And yes, you could pass clots for a few days, that is normal. My condolences on your loss. It's quite normal to pass several clots when going through this...sometimes for 2-3 weeks. maybe make an appointment for a follow up with your doctor when the bleeding has stopped for a complete check up. |

hey hun did you go the doctors, when u misscarred? if you are soaking a pad in with 1hr then you really need to be seen at the ER. If the clots are bigger then a golf size I would call advice nurse... I would think that if you were still showing elevated HCG levels almost 2 months after your miscarriage, you would have still had a positive test in March. You should call your doctor, you may be ... I had miscarriage 2 weeks ago. I bleed for a week after my miscarriage. And cramps lasted 2-3 days. I was told bleeding lasts 2 weeks. Im sorry , hope this helps ...I would go see a doctor. The doctor would know more about it then anybody on here. ...I understand first hand the pain you must be feeling. I understand that losing even one baby can cause unimaginable grief. I had a stillborn 2 years ago and I have three other beautiful children.... When we talk about a hormone problem, you have likely miscarried in less than 10 weeks. After that, the placenta has taken over hormone production and any normal deficiency you have is not a factor... Grief, and more grief. From the moment we know we are pregnant, it is a real person . We think about who they will look like, if it's a boy or a girl, how big they are getting; our heads fill ... First I am very sorry over your loss, I have had three miscarriage one of which was a few years after my tubes had been tied.
