A mini stroke affecting vision? |
An elderly friend of mine thinks he has had a mini stroke and his vision is affected. Will it come back? No way to be sure unless it is diagnosed in the first instance as a stroke, or something else. Even if it was a stroke there still is no way to be certain of anything. Strokes are completely independent & no two are the same, even in the same patient. What the heck is wrong with him , he Needs to be seen by an emergency room stat,, a major one could easily follow. go to the doctor.STAT Sudden occlusion of retinal artery is a mini stroke. Vision is lost in one eye suddenly never to come back. Prevention of some more arteries being occluded is the only help. A lot depends on th size of the clot wherther it get reabsorbed and whether renewed blood supply is restored soon enough to prevent tissue damage. The incidence of recoverty is not high. If it was a mini stroke his symptoms should subside after a short period of time.....chances are though that it wasn't, he should probably see his doctor. I don't understand. He THINKS he had a stroke? He needs medical attention as soon as possible. Mini Stroke or any stroke can affect your vision. He needs to consult a doctor right away! The doctor would be able to tell him better if he will or won't get his vision back to normal. |
