What are the symptoms of a stroke or mini stroke? how serious is it? who do i call to get info? |
strong headaches, numbness of mouth & unable voluntary move left side of face. i took the flu shot 3 days ago. gave birth 10 days ago and i'm a breastfeeding mother. You may have Bell's Palsy. Or it could be a side affect of the flu shot. HOpefully it will wear off. I would get to the ER immediately!! Girl thats nothing to play with. You got a little one. Go get checked. What could it hurt? It could hurt a lot if you don't. Dear Heathclif, At the top of every YAHOO! page/screen there is a Search:________Web Search blank space. Type your question there and click on Web Search. Numerous sites will come upon the screen, read some of them and click on one that seems to answer your question. If that if not the right one, try another. The Web Search offers are tremendous, many are full of free info. My father-in-law has had many strokes including mini strokes. You can never be too careful with this. I would strongly suggest that you go to your G.P. and get your symptoms checked out. I don't want to alarm you but it is better to be safe than sorry. Think of your little one. These symptoms could very well be the after effects of childbirth but I would'nt be playing around on the internet for answers. My father may have last month had a TIA (mini stroke). He was at work and had a moment where he just suddenly was totally confused and couldn't figure out what the heck he was doing. It cleared up, but my mom went and got him and took him to the hospital to be checked out (after he called her totally freaked out). Luckily he's ok and all tests came back fine and feels fine, but he did have symptoms of not being able to remember much from that morning and numbness he still has around his left eye. You can check at your local ER, to get the right info. Don't take any chances on just asking us. Dr.'s have the right tools like |
