If an 80 plus senior had a mini-stroke, would there be any lasting effects 3 days later? ex. speech probs.?

Effects as in 'face drooping',speech, mobility?

best if you actually spoke with a DR that could view this 80 year old.. and read her history chart.

It could be; I think it would depend on the severity of the stroke. My dad who is now 87 had a hemorraghic stroke (a bleeding stroke) over a year ago; he was in ICU for a few days & then did go through therapy for about 6 months to strengthen his walking & his handwriting. In his case, just the handwriting & balance were affected, but I think it does depend on the type of stroke, the area of the brain it happened in & any other health issues (high blood pressure, etc.). In the case of your 80+ senior, what does his/her medical team think? Are they recommending therapy, any medications, etc? You could check the American Heart Association as they have information on strokes & also information for the family of the senior as well. Good luck.
