What are the symptoms of a mini stroke?

I keep having sharp pains between my right eye and nose going straight toward the back of my head. This has been happening on and off for the past few days.

Symptoms of transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) or mini strokes develop suddenly and are always temporary. They usually go away within 10 to 20 minutes. TIA symptoms are just like stroke symptoms. They vary depending on which part of the brain is affected. Common symptoms of TIA include:

Weakness on one side of your body or an inability to move a part or all of one side of your body, such as your face, arm, and leg.
Numbness, tingling, or a feeling of heaviness on one side of your body.
Loss of vision or changes such as blurring or double vision, dimness, or a sensation that a shade has been pulled down over the eyes.
Difficulty speaking or finding or understanding words.
Vertigo, unsteadiness, dizziness, clumsiness, staggering, or fainting. You may also have a drop attack, which is a sudden loss of strength in your legs.
It is not always easy to recognize a transient ischemic attack (TIA) because you may think that the symptoms are caused by normal aging or other conditions. But you should treat any symptoms of a TIA as an emergency because you have no way to know whether they are from a stroke or a TIA.

Although this may be a symbol of nasal congestion, your worry may be justified.

I am going to quote webmd, so as to make sure that I do not misdiagnose a problem.

Symptoms include:
-One side of your body may feel numb, tingly, or heavy.
-You may not be able to move your arm, your leg, or your face on one side of your body.
-Things may look blurry or dim. You may have double vision or not be able to see.
-It may be hard to speak or understand words.
-You may feel unsteady, dizzy, or clumsy.

Any way, I would seriously recommend you go into your local physician, and check to make sure everything is alright. They will most likely perform a CT or an MRI

What are the signs of a mini stroke?

Depending on the blood system and area of the brain affected, symptoms of a transient ischemic attack can include:

1. Vision problems in one or both eyes, including double vision.

2. Dizziness, clumsiness and weakness.

3. Speech problems, including slurring.

4. Inability to walk, known as ataxia.

5. Sudden amnesia and/or loss of consciousness.

all of what 3cats said is true of TIAs, but if you have any of these symptoms get to your doctor even if they go away. People who have one TIA usually have another and are at a much greater risk of a real stroke.
